ARKET JEANS – HERE
Finding the right dark jeans, can feel like the endless search for a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The right wash is everything, then comes the shape, fit and of course the price! Yes, to achieve all these demands in just one pair of jeans, is far from an easy feat but to quote The Monkeys “I’m a believer” and with that in mind I think I’ve found a few pairs that I am feeling pretty confident to share with you today. I have been torn which pair to invest in for myself but for now I have settled on these Loulou De Saison pair and though they were advertised as straight, I would say they are more like a straight style with a nod to the barrel but either way I am happy with them, though I did have to have them shortened thanks to my 5’4 frame which rarely accommodates jeans outside of high street lengths and unfortunately the tailor did them a tad shorter then what I wanted, the downside to living living in a small town I suppose. But other than that minute mishap, I am so ready to wear and style them. I’ve used a few images to reference how I’ll be styling mine, definitely keeping it simple, classic, comfy and maybe with a little sporty/preppy nod here and there. I’m thinking Ralph Lauren caps, potentially a little plaid shirt or a baseball tee ( I opted for this one HERE). I love the idea of just a simple tee tucked in neatly against the dark jeans and then some leather flip flops, or an oversized, crisp white shirt and maybe a navy basket bag, chic chic chic. In the spring and autumn we can layer soft knitwear over plain tees and finish with a trench, a fail-safe look at its finest! But for now let’s keep it to simple tees, shirts and knits with leather shoes and/or accessories, finished off with your fave go-to jewellery, YES!
Before I leave you, I would like to apologise for the quality of images, I actually spent a fair amount of time curating and putting these together and unfortunately they’ve come out to a standard that’s below what I am usually happy with but I am still learning how to do this all again, plus my time is limited to an hour or so a day to, so to start all over again is just something I can’t justify but you get the idea and hopefully that’s enough for now. I have struggled with perfectionism over the years and sometimes it can also be a road block in moving forward and so I have to remind myself, I’m doing the best with the best of what I have right now, it might not be perfect or exactly how I wanted it but it’s movement and its progress and that counts for something! Maybe we could all benefit from this reminder today 🙂
