I’ve been learning/trying to be more flexible recently with taking ootd photos on my phone. Typically I prefer shooting outfit photos with our dslr camera as apposed to the phone camera but sometimes that simply isn’t feasible, this can be due to my health/energy levels, sometimes it can be because of whether, sometimes its time or lack-there-of and also because with the camera, I need the help and support of at least two people, one to watch over my daughter and the other to take the photos. I’m someone who typically prefers to do things on my own, I don’t like asking for help and so the phone is better suited for that but as I already said, my preference is the “proper” camera. I definitely lean towards for everything to look/feel “perfect” or at least in my eyes and so posting what I consider to be rough photos of my outfits definitely feels, lets say, different and not at all uncomfortable for me 😉 but getting out of my own way can sometimes be exactly what I need in order to progress. So Here is a small round up of some outfit photos that I took on my phone, my spring style is evidently leaning towards simplicity and comfort and in fact, basics has been my own personal style topic recently and has been at the forefront of a lot of my purchases and so much so I am working on a post sharing the pieces that I’ve bought and the ones I’ve got my eye on and so if you love wardrobe basics/staples and particularly those that feel a little more thoughtful in their quality, then keep checking back because I think you’ll appreciate my upcoming post.
Also, I wanted to touch upon the fact that though, yes, I buy new clothes, I also re-wear a lot of older pieces. Yes, my clothes are far from one hit wonders and I expect a lot from them, I enjoy styling older pieces in new ways but I also know how frustrating it can be when I see a piece that someone is wearing in their ootd post and it’s old but I also think as long as you know the brand, then if you really like it, then it’s worth looking on second hand sellers or even the brands outlet section, which they so often have. And if you have any questions about a particular style that I am featuring in my post, then please feel free to contact/ask me questions and I’ll do my best to respond.
Best wishes, Daniella x
